

He was a member of Morningview Baptist Church and loved missionary work. He loved the Lord, Jesus Christ. He was an avid Braves baseball and Alabama football fan. In his free time he enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He fought in Japan in WWII and was also stationed in the Philippines. Most of all, he loved being with his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Bailey Gibbons (Mike) and daughter-in-law, Ann Bailey; grandchildren, Melissa Lee Gilliland, Maryann Lee, Melora Lee Moore (Justin), Courtney Gibbons Sellers (Daniel), and Wes Bailey (Heather); great-grandchildren, William Gilliland, Evelyn Moore, Carter Moore, Hudson Moore, Lydia Moore, Jordan Owens (Leslie), Jake Owens, Jaiden Owens, Breland Sellers, Madelyn Sellers, Grayson Yarborough, Ethan Bailey, Lucy Bailey, and Millie Hope Bailey.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy McLean Bailey; son, Hiram Corbrey "Bud" Bailey, Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Emily Virginia Gilliland.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation on Saturday, December 31st, at Morningview Baptist Church at 10 am with a service to follow beginning at 11 am.
