

FRADY, Dr. Jerry Conrad, who served as pastor of several Baptist Churches, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the age of 76. An Anniston native, Frady is a graduate of Howard College (now Samford University) and earned graduate degrees from the following universities; Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas; Luther Rice Seminary, Lithonia, GA; East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, TN; and University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL.
Dr. Frady pastored for 40 years and did supply preaching in the latter years of his life. He served churches in Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee. For a number of years, Dr. Frady served as guidance counselor and later as principal in secondary education. During his ministry, he was an adjunct professor for 15 years at Samford University and 4 years at Gadsden State Community College. Finally, Dr. Frady served as editor and writer for a Montgomery Newspaper, the “Gazette”. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, Montgomery, at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Knight Frady; one son, Luke Frady. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your favorite charity or to Gideons International. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home with Dr. Teman Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
