We just found out about Joan's passing, very sad and shocked.

Sitting here in disbelief. Haven't heard from Joanie in months and months and lost all contact. We were in a group on the internet for many many years. I think 14 years now and  had talked about a year of so ago. She even came to Moundville to visit me. I am so sorry to hear this. I know she had to talk about The Living Room girls. Tonight we were wondering and I starting searching and this condolences came up immediately. She was such a wonderful person. I hate we lost contact. I am so very sad to hear of the loss of Joan. I worked with her at JCPenneys. She was a wonderful woman. I know she is smiling down on us. Prayers to her family.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

 Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
 Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
 That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
 God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

 It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

 God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not  be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

It's seems so sureal reguarding Joan's passing. For it was just a few weeks ago my wife, Stephanie, and I were having dinner with Joan at Red Lobster and chatting at her home afterwards about the Alaskan Cruise we were going to take next summer. It's amazing how one minute their here and the next their gone. Joan was a dear friend whom I worked with for many years. She will be missed by me and many others. I am only sorry I didn't spend more time with her. May you Rest In Peace my dear friend!

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family, friends and our Heavenly Father.

Joan was always a good friend to me. She will be missed.

I met Joan 6 years ago when my husband Mark and I started dating.  Joan was there with us when he proposed and standing there beside me when we married.  Joan was a very good friend of mine, whom I loved dearly.  She was a very Godly woman who lived life to the fullest.  I will cherish all the memories we made together especially the ones from her and I sharing our first cruise together in October.  Heaven has gained another wonderful angel and I know that Joan is spending time with her mom now, whom she loved and missed dearly.  Karen,Wendy, Jennifer and Stephanie my thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time.

Joan was a volunteer for Gentiva Hospice for many years.  In this capacity, she kept us straight in the office with her efficient eye and she always arrived with a beautiful smile and gentle demeanor.  I have many memories of Joan and  looked forward to her visits. Karen and family...stand strong and know that she is still with you in mind and spirit.

Joan and I graduated together in 1980 from Montgomery Catholic High School. She emulated Christ in the way she greeted and treated people. She was one of the sweetest people I have known. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.

I knew Joan through my son-in-law & my daughter, Mark & Stephanie McGuire.  Mark worked with Joan. Stephaine was very good friends with Joan and I know she will miss her so very much.  They went on a cruise with her last year, along with my son, Kevin.  They had been talking of the next cruise.  Joan was living life to its fullest and enjoying every bit of it each time I visited with her.  I know she will be missed.  My prayers are with the family and many friends at this time.
