John William McCarron, age 18, resident of Wetumpka, died unexpectedly on April 4, 2014. He attended the Montgomery Academy and graduated from Wetumpka High School in 2013. John Will joined the United States Marine Corps and graduated from Marine Corps Boot Camp at Parris Island, SC, and from the School of Infantry at Camp LeJeune, NC. He became a Marine Reservist and was attending Auburn University as a freshman majoring in engineering.
John Will is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Erich McCarron of Wetumpka, and his three brothers, Ethan of Montgomery, Austin serving in the U.S. Army in Afghanistan, and Joseph of Wetumpka. He is also survived by his grandfather, retired USAF Lt. Gen. Charles G. Cleveland of Montgomery, and his grandmother, Mrs. Elisabeth S. McCarron of Houston, Texas.
Visitation will be at 9:30 AM Thursday, April 10 at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 10:30 and the burial following immediately after. Reverend Jay Wolf of First Baptist Church of Montgomery will officiate.
