He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Speights; six children, John A. Speights, III (Julia), Georgia Prince (Julian), William Thomas Speights, Angela Locklar, Sally Savas (Keith), Joy Nyeste (Mitch); twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home with Minister Cliff Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
