Kenneth Roger Teel

K. Roger Teel, Sr., 79, of Montgomery, passed away December 15, 2019. He was born March 6, 1940. The family will host a celebration of Mr. Teel’s life on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at 12:00 noon, at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home in Montgomery, Alabama. There will be no formal visitation.

Mr. Teel is survived by his wife of 47 years, Penelope Musgrove Teel; five children, Debbie (Ricky) Williams of Tallassee, Renee (Bruce) Holman of Tallassee, Todd (Anne) Hawkes of Deatsville, K. Roger Teel, Jr. of Montgomery, and Whitney (Eric) Hill of Montgomery; brother, Larry (Peggy) Teel of Wetumpka; step-sister Donna Ledbetter of Tallassee; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; multiple nieces and nephews; a loving and devoted nurse, Ophelia Ernest; and a dedicated secretary, Sara Crossley. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Olis Teel; and brother, James M. Teel.

Mr. Teel was a prominent business man with an incredible career in plumbing and electrical wholesale. He was past president for Kiwanis Club of Montgomery, a deacon of Capital Heights Baptist Church, and served on the Board of Directors for Renasant Bank. Most importantly, he was a loving and devoted husband and father. His fierce love for family was the driving force of his successes. He was loved and respected by many because of his kind heart and compassionate spirit.
