

She passed on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the age of 92.
Over the years, Margaret worked with Anheuser Busch, the Diamond Department at Service Merchandise, Montgomery Transportation Department, Montgomery Pardons and Parole, and was also a member of Whitfield United Methodist Church, where she sang with the Merry Elders.
One of Margaret's favorite hobbies included playing a mean hand of Go-Fish with her family and loved ones.
Mrs. Margaret Deacy is survived by her daughter, Susan Hale (Richard); sister, Peggy Ann Logan; grandchildren, Stephen Allen Hodge (Lisa), Sidney Edward Hodge (Navia), and William John Hodge (Tristan); great-grandchildren, Kaylee Hodge, Natalee Hodge, Samantha Hodge, Ayden Hodge, and Kaydence Hodge.
Maragret is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Sidney Kersey and Mrs. Ruby Ann Kersey; as well as her husband of 58 years, Charles Coleman Deacy, whom passed on October 2, 2012.
Family and friends are cordially invited to a committal service for Margaret, which will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery & Mausoleum, 600 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Birmingham, AL 35211.
