He was the son of the late Lloyd and Laura Jemison. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan, one daughter, Rebecca Rice (Will), sons Slaton (Anne Alan) and Garrett (Emily) and three grandsons, Jemison, H.T., and S.J.
He will be remembered always for his spirit of loyalty and generosity.
Pall bearers will be Sonny Cone, Kenny Mendelsohn, Buddy McClinton, Judge Gene Reese, Reese McKinney, and Jack Shalhoop.
Honorary pall bearers will be Lee Miller, Bill Kennedy, Wiley Steen, Tom Chapman, Thomas Tankersley, Farrell Mendelsohn, Ken Wallis, Mac McLoud, George Wallace, Jr. and Shot Thames
Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to FUMC, the Stegall Seminary Foundation or the charity of your choice.
