She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil F. Sowell. She survived by two daughters, Cheryl R. Hall and Sheila Raines; a son Randy Raines (Mitzi); step daughter, Cecilia Howell (Clint); niece Debbie Cain; as well as grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Alabama Heritage Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2020 with Rev. Dale Huff officiating.
A special thanks to her caregivers Fannie Spencer and Naomi Urquhart and to the staff of Amedisys Hospice.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
