Ms. Patricia was known as being devoted to her family, friends, and to the Lord. She loved those in her life and always made sure that they knew just how much they were cherished. She also was an educator for 26 years and a member of First United Methodist in Montgomery, Alabama, for 50 years.
Patricia Backus Cherry is survived by her daughter, Carol Cherry Stradtman; son, Calvin W. Cherry IV (Dawn); grandchildren, Sarah Orwig (Phillip), Calvin W. Cherry V (Chynna), Amanda Hoffman (Jared), Wesley Cherry; and great-grandchildren, Molly, Rhodes, and Callahan.
Mrs. Cherry is predeceased by her loving husband, Calvin W. Cherry III.
A visitation for Ms. Patricia will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 service. Both the visitation and service will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, Alabama, 36117.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Early Childhood Development Center.
