

Patricia Mildred Brasington Hart (AKA Pat, Granny Pat, Nanny Roo, Nanny & Mom) was 92 years old. She was born on April 10, 1932 on a small farm near Hacoda in Geneva County Alabama. She passed from this life on January 19, 2025 to be with her dearly missed, beloved & life-long partner of nearly 72 years – Jess; both are together again & now sitting at the feet of Jesus. They lived their lives to go to heaven.
Pat & Jess eloped and were married on December 16, 1949 after her husband finished basic training in the US Air Force. Pat was a devoted Christian, military spouse and homemaker. She was a longtime member of the Perry Hill Road church of Christ where during her younger years she taught bible classes to the younger children. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining church members and friends in their home.
Pat was preceded in death by beloved husband of nearly 72 years; Jess Hart, her father & mother (Collis & Verna Brasington), one sister (Grace Brasington Smith) and grandson, Shane Hart.
Pat is survived by: Steve A. Hart (Wife Becky), 2 children: Daughter-in-law – Kimberly Hart, 2 daughters - Sydney & Sophia; Jessica Matmanivong (husband Nan), 1 daughter – Olivia; Gary L. Hart (wife Janis), 2 children; Jason (wife Laura), 2 daughters – Savannah & Victoria; Patrick, 1 son - Bryson; A sister & brother-in-law June & Larry Broxson & another brother-in-law Jimmy Wise (wife Ann – deceased) as well as several nieces & nephews; and Special friend (& daughter by another mother) – Janie Brewer.
The family will always be grateful to the Baptist Hospice staff for their support, guidance and compassionate care, as well as Sylvia Riley, Jasmine Scales, Maria Harris and Adeline Turner for their compassionate care for Pat.
