He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and Auburn University. While attending Auburn University he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He loved Auburn Football, his Scottish Terriers, movies and his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kelly Daniel Ellis and her husband, Gregory Scott Ellis; Paul Reed “Beau” Daniel, III and his wife, Brittany Mikel Daniel, his grandchildren, Madelyn Dane Ellis, Kathryn Bryan Ellis, John Reed Daniel, Thomas Gaines Daniel; his siblings Norma Dahl Daniel, Nelson Lee Daniel, Cheri Daniel Compton.
Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Nelson Reed Daniel and his mother Norma VanDeventer Daniel.
