BALDWIN, Richard Van, 91, CMST, USAF Ret., born on September 7, 1924 in Utah, he passed away at home on Sunday, December 20, 2015. Son of the late Van Adkins Baldwin and Jessie Green Baldwin, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years Sheila Kathleen Baldwin (DeeDee); his daughter Debora Kathleen Baldwin Sparks, and granddaughter Sheila Kathleen Sparks; Brothers, Frank Baldwin, Ted Baldwin, Bob Baldwin; Sister, Barbara Baldwin.. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Baldwin Singleton (Walter C. Jr.); son Jeffery Van Baldwin (Annette); grandsons Richard Van Baldwin II, Nicholas H. Allen; great granddaughter, Skyler Kathleen Sparks; nieces Mary LaBella, Mickey Andrew and Nephew John Jeffery. He dedicated his life to his family, raising children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a United States Marine Veteran and also retired from the United States Air Force, having served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was a Chief Aide to the Potentate at the Alcazar Shrine Temple for ten years. He will be missed by all that were blessed to know him. Visitation will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Alabama Heritage Cemetery..
