
Robert (Bob) Glenn Donald, Jr. passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017, after an 11 year battle with cancer. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by his family. Bob was born October 29, 1957 to Robert Glenn Donald and Sara Sutton Timmons in Selma, Alabama.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Catherine Molchan Donald. He is also survived by two sisters; Margaret Donald Miller (Richard) and Sally Donald O'Driscoll (John-Paul) as well as a sister-in-law, Caroline Molchan Brown (Kirk). He also leaves to cherish his memory 5 nieces and nephews; Sara Miller, Zoë Miller, Jerome O'Driscoll, John O'Driscoll, and Quinlan Brown. He is also survived by a daughter Laura.
His family moved to Montgomery when he was still very young. Bob attended Bear Elementary School and graduated from Trinity High School in 1976. He went on to the University of Alabama where he earned a degree in Communications. Soon after earning his degree, Bob moved to Atlanta. In the late 1990's, Bob returned to Montgomery where he met Cathy and they married. He had a career spanning 39 years in residential real estate both as an appraiser and real estate agent in Montgomery and Atlanta.
His family would like to express sincere appreciation for Dr. Stephen Davidson and all of the staff at the Montgomery Cancer Center for their compassionate care. They are also very grateful for the wonderful care by Hospice of Montgomery. Bob's last few weeks were the best he had in a long time. He visited with friends and family and ate some of his favorite foods again.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Montgomery Cancer Center, Hospice of Montgomery, The Church of the Ascension, or any of the Humane Shelters in the tri-county area.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at Church of the Ascension on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
