A Celebration of Life Service for Marie will be held at her home church in Dadeville, Alabama at a later date.
Marie was a member of Red Ridge United Methodist Church and retired from Arrow Shirt Company in Atlanta,GA. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed more than 25 years at their home on Lake Martin. She was surrounded by friends and family. Marie enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Robert Tarvin (Diana) of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Vicci Goostree-Hancock of Woodstock, GA; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and her sister, Ruthie Sexton (Art) of Montgomery, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. Tarvin, Sr.; son, Phillip Tarvin; daughter, Vesta Tarvin; grandson, Arthur James Tarvin; son-in-law, Curtis Hancock; her parents; and brothers, Tommy Sayers and Billy Sayers. What a celebration she must have had for her 88th birthday!
