

Thomas Lee Hollingsworth, a follower of Jesus Christ, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 9, 2024. He was preceded by his wife of 55 years, Joyce B. Hollingsworth, father, Roy B. Hollingsworth, mother, Genie Hollingsworth, and brother, Roy B. Hollingsworth Jr.
Tom was a graduate of Central Park Elementary and Ensley High School class of 1955 in Birmingham, AL. He graduated from Auburn University in 1957 with a B.S. in Industrial Management and was a member of Auburn Track Team.
Tom served in the U.S. Navy - 2.5 years active duty on the USS Northampton CC1 and 5 years in the Reserves. He was discharged in 1967 as Lieutenant.
He worked for 37 years and retired from Benco Industries (a manufacturing plant of signs and displays) located in Knoxville, TN and Fort Deposit, AL as president. Tom was a member of the Central Park Boys Association, and USS Northampton Reunion Association. He was a member of Frazer Methodist Church since 1985 and Encouragers Sunday School class.
Tom loved golf and tennis, and especially, traveling with his wife, Joyce. He had two devoted sons, Philip (wife Lupe) and Mark (wife Sherry) and grandsons, Zack and Austin (wife Sarah Kate) and granddaughter, Shay.
A public Graveside Service will be held for Tom on Monday, August 12th, 2024, at 3:00pm, at Alabama Heritage Cemetery, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL, 36117.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wesley Gardens Life Enrichment or Frazer Methodist Church.
