William Beckham

William E. (Bill), 67, Beckham, of Montgomery, AL, died on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Bill was born in Thomas County, Georgia, but relocated to Montgomery 38 years ago. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam conflict. He graduated from Troy State University and later earned a Masters at the University of Virginia. He retired from Regions Bank after 27 years of service in 2000. He positively touched the lives of everyone he met along with loving Alabama Crimson Tide football and western/war movies. Bill is survived by his mother, Lilly M. Coleman; wife Verna C. Beckham; three sons, Tracy and wife Dana, Tony, and Jason and wife Jennifer; brother Wayne and his wife Virginia; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends, not to mention, his beloved pet Pug, China. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, February 5th, at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery in Montgomery, with visitation from 5-7 pm on Friday, February 4th.
