A painter, Babbie was artistic and created many beautiful works of art which decorated her home. She held many enjoyments in life, like her love of growing new things in her yard. While she loved flowers of all kinds, her favorites were magnolias, sunflowers and daisies. She also enjoyed swimming which she used to teach to children. When she was in College she raced competitively with the LSU Swim Team. Up until this past year, she was often found at the swimming pool doing laps in the summer time. Babbie was known for her cheesecake but most importantly she was known for being friendly, never meeting a stranger, and always giving a compliment. Babbie will be missed but forever remembered by those blessed to have had her presence in their lives.
Babbie leaves to cherish her memory her friend & former husband, Jed Sauce; their three daughters, Amber Pierce and her husband, Daniel, Fallon Jones and her husband, Brandon, and Karli Sauce; her son, Richard “Boozie” Prosperie; her father, Ray Gross; her mother, Barbara Gross; six grandchildren, Lily and Elijah Pierce, Violet Jones, Shay, Zack, and Alexis Prosperie; three sisters, Ellen Hetherington, Susan Boutte, Mary Cherry; two brothers, Ray “Danny” Gross and John Gross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
