It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Chris Jude Deroche, a cherished member of our family. With a career dedicated to excellence at Fed Ex, Chris leaves behind a legacy of hard work and professionalism. He retired from his role there, having made a lasting impact on colleagues and customers alike.
Beyond his professional achievements, Chris will be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his family. As a father, he was a constant pillar of support, providing guidance, encouragement, and endless love to his children. His children brought him immeasurable joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. As a brother and uncle, he was always a voice of reason/understanding. Those are memories that will be treasured forever.
When it came to hobbies and passions, Chris had a magnetic personality. He had a true gift for karaoke, and his renditions of Garth Brooks and Bob Seger songs would light up the room. Among his favorites was "The Dance," a song that resonated deeply with his spirit and touched the hearts of those who heard him sing. Chris’ love for music was a reflection of his vibrant soul.
Sports played a significant role in his life. A passionate LSU and Saints fan, he found immense joy in cheering for his favorite teams and celebrating their victories. Additionally, he had an insatiable love for NASCAR races, immersing himself in the exhilarating atmosphere and cheering on his favorite drivers.
Above all, Chris will be remembered for his kind heart and warm personality. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people, and he treated everyone he met as a friend. With his calm demeanor and genuine love for others, he made an everlasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him. Chris’ compassion and generosity will continue to inspire us all to be better, more caring individuals.
As we mourn the loss of Chris, let us remember the beautiful memories he leaves behind. May his spirit live on in the hearts of those he loved and touched. We find solace in knowing that he is at peace, singing his favorite songs in a place where his love and kindness will forever shine.
