William ‘Bob’ Robert Rollins, 69, a native of Lexington, Oklahoma and a resident of Morgan City, LA. passed away, Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City, LA.
Bob is survived by three sons, Derrick Rollins of New Orleans, LA, Michael Reid of Gulfport, MS., and Kenneth Rollins and his wife, Amanda, of Cleveland, TN.; two daughters, Kemberley Scully and her husband, Ronald, of Morgan City, LA., and Vanessa Kimbril and her husband, Chuck, of Cleveland, TN.; one brother, John Rollins and his wife, Brenda, of Cleveland, TN.; two sisters, Mary Lou Stewart and her husband, Ed, of Lafayette and Norma Catledge and her husband, Daymon, of Norman, OK.; and eight grandchildren, Shawn, Brad, and Brennan Scully of Morgan City, LA., Chaz and Cooper Kimbril, and Connor, Kathryn, and Vince Rollins all of Cleveland, TN.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Rollins; his mother, Susie Garner Rollins; twin brothers, Jessie and Jimmie Rollins and one sister, Ima Jean Kelley.
Bob was an avid OU, Saints, and Dodgers fan. He immensely enjoyed spending time outdoors, either fishing or deer hunting with his family. Bob was a prankster, often playing tricks on his family. Bob enjoyed driving his grandsons to their ball games, so much so, that his family would joke that Bob’s truck needed to be painted yellow like a school bus. Dancing was also a favorite past time of Bob’s, it was something he especially enjoyed at his Mardi Gras Krewe’s events in Lafayette.
The family requests that visitation Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 6pm to 9pm at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City, LA. Funeral Services and burial will follow privately at a later date in Bob’s hometown of Lexington, OK.
