

Albert was born on October 21, 1947 in Muskegon to Robert and Ruth (Yoder) Hardenburgh. He grew up on Carr Rd in Eggleston Township and graduated from Orchard View High School in 1966. He worked as a foundry rat at Cambels, Sealed Power Ravenna plant, and Shape Corporation, retiring as maintenance for Little River Casino. Albert met the love of his Life Judy Hall and married her and her two daughters on May 20, 1972, welcoming their son later that same year. Growing up as an avid hunter, Al could be found every deer season hunting with his father, brothers, and eventually his son and nephew. Albert enjoyed drag racing, having drag cars of his own as well as many street rod and custom cars. Al was a member of West Michigan Street Rod Association and a founding member of Golden Oldies Rod and Customs.
Albert is survived by: his loving wife of 51 years, Judy; Daughters, Tammy (Don) Childs of Mesick, Valerie (Bob) Webster of Allendale; Son, Robert Hardenburgh of Coopersville (former daughter-in-law Marcia Curtis of Lake Odessa); and Brother, Allen (Peggy) Hardenburgh of Muskegon. He is also survived by: grandchildren, Jamie (Andy) Traxler, Curtis (Shelly) Koop, Amber (Shane) Hulin, Samantha (Kyle) Robotka, Dylan Webster, Adam Webster, Kaelin Hardenburgh, Ethan Hardenburgh; as well as ten great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Albert was preceded in death by: his parents Robert & Ruth; Brother, Robert E.; granddaughter, Amanda Bulthouse; and grandson, Andrew Koop.
A celebration of Al’s life will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Sunday, November 26 from 2-6 PM at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel 1783 E Keating Ave Muskegon. Per Al’s wishes, cremation has taken place with burial to take place at a later date.
