

Mrs. Carol J. Orcutt, age 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2025 at home in Muskegon. She was born on September 29, 1952 to John & Ida (Jolly) Katzenbach and had resided in the Muskegon area her entire life. Prior to retirement, Carol spent many years working at Chris-Craft in Holland and ADAC in Muskegon.
On December 2, 1978, she married Robert “Bob” Orcutt with whom she enjoyed 27 years of marriage prior to his death. Bob and Carol loved to dance, play pool, spend long days at Muskegon area beaches with their kids, and were always up for gathering with friends to play cards and barbeque. They also enjoyed spending time at casinos, including treasured trips to Las Vegas and Laughlin, NV.
Carol is survived by 3 children, Greg Katzenbach, Becky (Mark) Osowski, Robert “Bobby” Orcutt II, and 3 stepchildren, Chuck (Kim) Orcutt, Shelly (Rick) Quintero, Jodi MacDonald; 12 grandchildren, James, Chris, Jessica, Alyssa, Kayla, Nick, Cody, Emily, Dayna, Savannah, Alahna, Braelynn; 16 great grandchildren, Ciarra, Alex, Harper, Landon, Alanis, Zayden, Campten, Brody, Kailo, Adalynn, Willow, Kacyn, Brantley, Colt, Oakley, Philip; sister-in-law, Suzanne Meyers of Fruitport, MI; brothers-in-law, Dale Sandberg Sr. of Muskegon, MI, Michael (Lynn) Orcutt of Beaumont, TX; special former daughters-in-law, Sherri Barr, Becky Katzenbach, Margie Christie; nieces LaNay (Bob) Skeels, Tara Sandberg; lifelong friend Sue (Don) Kozik; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents, John and Ida Katzenbach; daughter, Dayna G. Orcutt; brother, James Katzenbach; sister, Sandra L. (Jolly) Sandberg; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Huston, Peggy Callison; brother-in-law, William “Bill” Meyers; son-in-law, Jeff MacDonald; grandchildren, Ricky Quintero, Robert “Robbie” Katzenbach; and nephew, Dale Sandberg Jr.
In accordance with her wishes, a private family service will be held to honor her life.
