Carole Sue Brown

Carole attended Moody Bible Institute in Illinois from 1961 to 1963. She then went on to study nursing at Bryan Christian College in Tennessee from 1963 to 1967. Carole went on to work as a nurse at Hackley Hospital of Muskegon for over 48 years. She was strong in her faith and an active member of Mercy Ministries at Olivet Evangelical Free Church in Fruitport. In her free time, she enjoyed reading.

She was preceded in death by: husband, Gordon Lee Brown; parents, Gerard and Agnes Bomgaars; brother, Wayne Bomgaars; and uncle, John Hommes.

She is survived by: children, Holly (Jody) Veach, Gordon Brown Jr.; and Beth (Jeremy) McClary; son-in-law, Corey (Kayla) McClary; as well as, her church family and other close friends.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am on June 27, 2026, at Olivet Evangelical Free Church, 6790 Harvey Road. The family will welcome guests one hour prior to the start of the service. There will be a luncheon after the service, also at the church.
