Charles “Chuck” Maynard, age 88 of Muskegon, passed away on August 25, 2015 in the loving arms of his family. He was born June 22, 1927 in Muskegon to Charles and Daisy Maynard. Chuck proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army. He retired from Shaw Walker and worked for many years for the Brake Clinic in Muskegon. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria Maynard; his sister, Laurie Johnson; and his daughter-in-law, Barbara Maynard. He is survived by his children, Charles Lee Maynard, and Gloria (Richard) Goldsborough; his 6 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. A funeral service for Chuck will be Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 12pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel; 1783 E. Keating Ave. in Muskegon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11am. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Muskegon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Disabled American Veterans.
