Christie Sue Hayes, age 60, passed from this life to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, October 10, 2011. She was born in Muskegon on May 18, 1951 to Elmer and Donna (Stubbs) Hayes,. She was a 1969 graduate of Mona Shores High School. Christie enjoyed karaoke, music, billiards, arts and crafts. She was also member of the Fruitport Eagles.
Christie is survived by the light of her life, her son Ryan Fluit of Jackson; brothers, Larry (Nancy) Hayes of Norton Shores and Bradley (Brenda) Hayes of Holton; niece, Brenda Hayes; nephew, Vincent Hayes; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Hayes; and nephew, Brett Hayes. Christie will be missed by her family and her many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held for Christie on Friday, October 21, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at McGraft Memorial Congregational Church, 1617 Palmer Avenue, Muskegon, with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to assist with the funeral costs.
