I knew Gary through Wilson Thomas, I live in Phoenix, AZ.  I had many great times with Gary both at Dockers and Pop a Top.  The last time we talked was for the memorial service for Wilson when I was in Muskegon.  For some reason I was prompted to google Gary and I discovered that he has passed.  I remember meeting Tammy and all I can say is I am very sorry for your loss.  Gary was a good guy!  If you are ever in Phoenix please let me know.  Frank@bdspecialists.com

Rick and Tammy, I apologize for the belated condolences.  You and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers.  I am very sorry for the loss of your father.  Gary was a wonderful boss and mentor to me at Docker's.  He will be greatly missed.

Gary and I met in 1968 and I've never forgotten him through the years.  Always asked about him through mutual friends.  What fond memories.  To his children - I'm so very sorry for your loss.....I know how much it hurts.

My deep condolences to the Thrasher family.  I have fond memories of a football trip to Knoxville, Tenn., years ago with Gary and the late Stan Tyler and the late Bill "Tennessee" Coughlin. Tammy & Rick.  I feel your sorrow at this difficult time.  Gary had a great gift when it came to his passion: Great food, service and a friendly atmosphere. He was an excellent host and was always full of stories. His laugh was contagious!  He will be missed by so many. Your family is in my thoughts & prayers.

I just learned of this sad news.  I can't help but mention that I owe my entire career to Gary giving me a chance and teaching me everything he knew. I hope that he knew and the rest of the family how important of a mentor he was to me.

Gary was a great personal friend. Steve and I will miss him dearly. I met Gary when I was 18 at Peppermill. He was a fantastic host at Docker's and what a smile. He was a loyal friend to my dad, Stan Tyler. Gary, join him and drink some Opus One.  Peace be with you and perpetual light shine upon you.

Losing a parent is one of the hardest trials that we go through in our lives...keep your memories close....they are what gets us through the days and years ahead...my mom passed in 1999 and even though it's been 12 years she is still and always will be a great memory for me....be strong!

Dear Tammy and Rick ~
Your Dad went to Fruitland Baptist Church as a young boy where my Father, Rev. Donald LeMaire was pastor.  I used to go visit your Grandparents house on the farm with my Dad.  I was friend with your Aunt Charlotte and your Grandma was the sweetest lady.  Gary and I were in school together.  At the 40th reunion ~ I spent some time with your Dad and he was a gentleman.  He reminded me of high school events that we shared and it was good to see him before he got sick.
