Gerald R. "Pinky" Houtman was born on June 5, 1944 and passed away after a short illness on June 16, 2011. Gerald is survived by his wife of 48 years, Anita (McClees) Houtman; two sons, Richard Houtman and Timothy (Jodi) Houtman; two grandchildren, Missy and Aaron. Gerald was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Houtman and a brother, Robert. Gerald also known as “Pinky” to all his Hotrod buddies was an avid car builder all his life and especially enjoyed the rides. He loved life and enjoyed spending time in the yard, and spending time with the special people in his life. Gerald retired from Light Corporation in Grand Haven. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association.
