Janice Eilene Merrill of Muskegon, 61, passed away Tuesday August 6, 2019 in Muskegon surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 20, 1958 to Charles and Lettea (Hock) Bray. On April 30, 1977 she married the love of her life James R. Merrill, and they enjoyed 33 years of marriage until his sudden passing on December 29, 2010. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving mother Lettea Bray, 2 children: Jamie Erickson, James (Sarah) Merrill Jr., 5 grandchildren: Ashley (Tony) Stong, CJ Erickson, Peyton Merrill, Jarrett Merrill, and Paige Merrill, 2 great grandchildren: Antonia Stong and Archie Stong, 1 brother: David Bray, 1 sister: Christine Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband James R. Merrill, her father Charles Bray, mother-in-law Nancy Rollenhagen, and father-in-law Fred Rollenhagen.
A service to celebrate her life and refreshments following will be held on Saturday August 10, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, 1783 E. Keating Ave. in Muskegon.
