John Carl Miel passed away at Brookhaven Medical Care Facility surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. John was born to the late Walter and Phyllis Miel in Muskegon on April 8, 1949. John worked in several Muskegon area restaurants. He enjoyed playing cards and working various puzzles. He was friendly and had an easy going nature about him. John is survived by his wife of 25 years, Fay; sisters Janice (David) Schaub and Peggy (Allen) Hardenburgh; sister-in-law, Annette (Chuck) Robinson, of Tennessee; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Along with his parents John was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Miel. Funeral services for John will be held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Chapel at 1:00 Friday, July 13, 2012.
