Judith Ann Whipple, age 72, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in Muskegon, Michigan. Judith was born and raised in Muskegon on July 20, 1952, to Russell and Nancy Ella (Hawkins) Iverson.
Judith attended Muskegon public schools and worked for many years as a paralegal at Scholten Fant Attorney’s Office before retiring. She cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her beloved son. With a heart full of love, she nurtured him, instilling in him the importance of discipline, hard work, and perseverance. Her unwavering dedication was always focused on helping him achieve his dreams, pouring her heart into guiding him along the way.
A loving and caring mother, Judith had a deep love for being outdoors. She cherished the time spent by her pool and had a special passion for gardening, particularly her flowers. One thing she could never stand, however, was commercials—especially when a TV show or movie was particularly interesting! Judith will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, John (Skyler) Rumpel; sister, Lexi (Brad) Hart; many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Nancy Iverson; her husband, Greg Whipple; her sister, Sherri Rhoads; and her brother, Brian Iverson.
A visitation to honor and remember Judith will take place on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 1783 E Keating Avenue, Muskegon, Michigan. Friends and family are invited to come and pay their respects during this time. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. This meaningful ceremony will be officiated by Pastor Jamie Newsted, who will guide us in celebrating the life and legacy of our loved one. For those who wish to gather before the service, there will be an additional one-hour visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. Following the service, a luncheon will be provided.
