Leonard E. Barber, age 88, entered into his eternal home on November 4, 2013. Leonard was born on February 11, 1925 in East Jordan, Michigan to parents Leonard and Flora (McPherson) Barber. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Leonard enjoyed playing cards, reading, hunting and camping at Fremont Lake Park, which he did for 28 years. Leonard will be lovingly remembered by his children: David (Kathy) Barber and Shelia (Ron) VanderMolen; grandchildren: Scott (Marleigha) Barber, Michael (Kirsten) Barber, Brandon Barber, Megan Barber, Kimberly (Kent) Karnemaat, Joe (Billie) VanderMolen, Kevin (Kirstin) VanderMolen; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Ruth Barber; son, Ronald Barber; granddaughter, Julie (John, surviving) Breuker; sisters: Dorothy Bennett, Doris Young; brother, Harold Barber. A funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon). The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am.
