Marguerite Hubbell

Marguerite Hubbell, age 96 of Muskegon, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 in the loving arms of her family. She was born on July 18, 1918 in Shipshewana, IN to Arthur and Mabel (Gushwa) Connelly. Marguerite was a lifelong member of the Church of the Brethren in Muskegon and attended Sheridan Drive Baptist Church in Muskegon. She has been very active with the Fellowship Reformed Church Senior Center for the last 30 years. Marguerite worked in retail for many years. She enjoyed travelling with her husband to Hawaii and to Florida during the winter months. She also enjoyed ceramics, embroidering, and spending time with her family. Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon Hubbell; her oldest daughter, Hedy Brown; and her daughter-in-law, Judy. She is survived by her children, Alfred Hubbell, Jackie (Ron) Green, Patsy (Tim) Rosenberger, and Linda Connelly; 16 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and 18 great great grandchildren. A funeral service for Marguerite will be on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 12pm at Sheridan Drive Baptist Church, 84 South Sheridan Drive in Muskegon, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Visitation will also be Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 6-8pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home; 1783 E. Keating Avenue in Muskegon. Interment will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Muskegon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Fellowship Reformed Church Senior Center.
