

Marilyn Louise Hansen, 75, of Muskegon, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 18, 2023. Marilyn Geeting graced the world on December 28, 1947, born to Marvin and Mary Geeting. Later in life she married the love of her life and together she built a beautiful life alongside her husband, Robert Hansen, whom she married on May 6, 1967. Their 56 years of marriage were filled with cherished moments and the joy of raising two wonderful children. Throughout her career at HOWMET, Marilyn’s commitment was unwavering, yet her true passion blossomed in her family.
With an infectious enthusiasm and a heart full of warmth, she truly shone when it came to her children and grandchildren! Proudly celebrating every accomplishment of theirs, she embraced her role as a great grandmother with boundless love. Always ready to lend an ear or offer a comforting embrace, she created a magical bond with her grandchildren that radiated joy and support. Her presence was a treasure, and her love was a guiding light in their lives! she discovered joy in the thrill of gambling and cherished the bonds formed through card games with her loved ones. The laughter and connection shared during those
moments brought her comfort and happiness in a way that only family and friends can provide. Her love for nurturing flowers showcased her caring nature, as she tended to each bloom with kindness, ensuring they thrived in pristine beauty. Every shopping excursion transformed into a heartfelt celebration of discovery, a joyful adventure shared with friends as they united in the quest for great bargains. She took pride in finding those treasures, knowing that each experience brought them closer together. Marilyn's feisty and loving demeanor positively impacted many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Marilyn is survived by: her husband Bob; children, Rob (Kelly) Hansen, and Robyn (Jason) Johnson; grandchildren, Brittany (Nick) Sweezer, Zachary (HyunJi Boo) Hansen, Taylor (Gregory) Wilkinson, and Brennan Johnson; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Ava, Kamdyn, Vera, Isla, Nicklaus, and Alayna; brother, Mark (Judy) Geeting; sister, Marlene (Dennis) Wilder; sister-in-law, Susan Geeting; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Geeting, and her parents.
