

Marilyn McCabe, born on August 7, 1938, to Thomas and Lillian (Hill) McCabe, lived a vibrant and fulfilling life that touched many hearts. As she later ventured into the medical field, her commitment and compassion shone brightly during her years at Muskegon General Hospital.
In her retirement, Marilyn celebrated the beauty of life's simple pleasures. Whether savoring a cold beer, gathering with loved ones around a warm bonfire, or enjoying the excitement of the casino, she infused each moment with her joyful spirit. The time spent with her cherished family and close friends was especially precious; she found immense joy in shopping trips, leisurely days filled with crossword puzzles, and countless shared moments of laughter.
Beloved for her sharp wit and delightful sense of humor, Marilyn's presence illuminated every space, with her laughter creating an atmosphere of warmth and joy. She held a deep affection for her children, dear friends, and her lifelong best friends, Jeannie Jansen and Sharon Tucker, who meant the world to her. Marilyn’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and connection, leaving an inspiring mark on the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her loving children Greg Huck and Jackie (Dan) Wilson; brother Tom (Gertrude) McCabe her; stepchildren Kathleen Meinders, Kurt (Diane) Meinders, and Frank (Beverly)Meinders Jr.; daughter-in-law Lori Meinders; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Meinders; her parents, Thomas and Lillian McCabe; her son, Garritt Meinders; and her stepson, Danny Meinders.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor and remember the vibrant spirit that Marilyn brought to all who knew her.
She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
