Nellie Mae Farber, age 94, of Muskegon, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. She was born in Muskegon Heights on May 26, 1931. Nellie graduated from Muskegon High School and was married to Leonard Farber on February 26, 1949.
While primarily a homemaker and mother to her children, Nellie also worked outside the home at the Muskegon airport doing cart service. She also ran a craft store out of her own home and participated in Toys for Tots.
Nellie was a member of Wolf Lake Baptist Church and had a passion for knitting, crocheting and travelling.
She is survived by her children, Pam (Claude), Dan (Marva Rae), Mark (Rhonda), Russ (Paula), and Shirlee; daughter in law Anita; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Nellie will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Olivet Evangelical Free Church, 6790 Harvey Rd, Spring Lake, MI 49456 followed by a luncheon. The graveside service will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery at 2pm.
