Richard Warren Douglas

Richard (Richie) Warren Douglas, 50 years old of Rothbury, was greeted by his mother Bonnie into his everlasting home in heaven. Richie was born January 17th, 1964 to Bonita (Bonnie) and Warren Douglas. Richie died very unexpectedly on September 1st, 2014 at Lakeshore Hospital in Shelby.

Richie is survived by his father, Warren Douglas of Rockford, Ill; sisters, Joni Douglas of Twin Lake, and Judy Tekautz of Council Bluffs Iowa; nieces, Rebecca Tekautz of Buenos Aries, Argentina, Amber Douglas of Muskegon, and Carrie Tekautz of Nashville, Tennessee; his nephew, Jordan Douglas of North Muskegon; great niece, Brianna; great nephews, Ricky, and Jayden; and also several aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his mother, Bonnie, Richie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anna and Merton Gould, and Harriett and Elmer Douglas.

Richie is also survived by the loving and dedicated family of his caregivers at his Michigan Street home in Rothbury. His caregivers are Samantha, Allison, Jackie, Roni, Cheree, Anna, Cyndee, Glen, Jon, Josie, Valerie, Ricki, Theresa, Debbie and Vicki. Richie is also survived by the brothers of his home, Henry, Scott, Bill, Kenny, and John. Richies family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation for the love you have shown Richie over the years while under your care. We know he loved you all.

Richie will be laid to rest next to his Mother Bonnie at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

His service is at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Chapel at 1:00pm Friday, September 5th, 2014 with Major Judy Tekautz officiating.
