Richard A. Hindley

Richard Hindley of Nunica, MI passed away Tuesday 11/29/11 after a long illness. Richard was a 1964 graduate from Trenton High School and went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University in 1969. Richard worked as a counselor for the state of Michigan, but most recently he was an electrician for Best Electric before retiring in 1998. His hobbies included coin collecting & restoring classic cars. He especially enjoyed his beloved cats. Richard was married to Gail (Gaultney), his adored and treasured wife of 31 years, and he was the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren. Richard is survived by his children Noel Hentschel (Michelle) of Wyoming, MI; Donald Hindley II (Lisa) of Lowell, MI; Andrea Powers (Randy) of Louisville, KY; and Aaron Hindley (Holly) from Detroit, MI, sisters Lois Corson (Jim) of Hudson, Fla; Luan Short (David) of Dundee, MI; and Jeanne Steortz of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by sister-in-law Nina Vandop (Bruce) of Whitehall, MI., sister-in- law Lynn King (Richard) from Whitehall, MI, brother-in-law Michael Gaultney of Muskegon, Mi., and mother-in-law Ruth Gaultney of Spring Lake, MI, as well as many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Children Hospital.
