Shirley May Ippen

Shirley M. Ippen – age 69, passed away on June 3, 2013. Shirley was born on March 21, 1944 in Muskegon, MI to parents Harold and Leora (Welliver) Larabee. She was an officer for the Fraternal Order of Eagle’s Women’s Auxiliary, in which she helped organize many fundraising events. Shirley enjoyed quilting, camping, going to auctions and spending time with her family. Shirley is survived by her children: Daniel (Penney) Ippen, Debra (Ken) Ferrier, Patricia (Richard) DeCheney, Ernest (Kelly) Ippen, and Pamela (Brad) Ippen-Justice; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Harold Larabee, Gordon (Kathy) Larabee, Sandra Parnell, Gary Larabee, and Wannetta (Ernest) Gannon; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Ernest A. Ippen, Sr.; sister, Barbara Driscoll, and both parents. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, 1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon, MI. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 6, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Friday, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at the Egelston Township Cemetery.
