Stanley James Stubbs, age 91, passed away Dec. 10th, 2019 at the Poppen House. He was born March 23, 1928 in Frankfort, MI. to Ward and Grace Stubbs. On August 19th 1950 he married Charlotte Currie. They were married for 50 years. Stanley served during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, hunting and collecting antiques. He also enjoyed reading and studying about the Civil War. He was a member of the Eagles and American Legion. Survivors include five children, Ronald Stubbs, Leslie (Diana) Stubbs, Naomi (Brian) Worial, Kimberly (Todd) Ritter, and Rick (Sharmayne) Stubbs, 11 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte, grandson, Carl, and granddaughter, Carrie. There will be a service on Saturday December 14, 2019 for immediate family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mission for area people.
