Steven was born August 5, 1935, the son of Stephen and Elizabeth Murar. He served his country proudly in the US Army. After his time in the military he married the former Sue Smith in 1963. Together they were blessed with nearly 50 years of marriage until her death in 2012. Steven worked as a cabinet maker at Duprey Custom Kitchens most of his career, the later part working for Quality Painting by Frank Crews. Steven enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He also loved his springer spaniels that he had throughout the years. He was an intelligent, talented and at times strong-willed man who will be deeply missed.
Steven is survived by: his sons, Ken (Ann), and Tom; grandchildren, Zach (Maria Champion), and Aryn (Adam) Nauta; sister, Elaine Murar; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his wife Sue; his parents; infant brother, John; and sister, Betty Thompson.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and no services are being planned.
