Mrs. Thelma Lorraine Masterson joined her one true Love, Dean on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. They were married for 55 years and Dad always called her his pretty Mama and told her he loved her daily. Thelma said often she was loved more than any other woman in the world. Dean and Thelma were proud owners of Deano’s Country Place for many years. She had a marvelous witty sense of humor. She loved to go to Bingo and play pinochle until her health held her back. She traveled to all 50 states except Alaska, many of them when she was playing music in a traveling road show. Thelma’s love and generosity for her children, grandchildren and greats was legendary. We will treasure her memory always. Thelma was born in Muskegon on August 23, 1932 to the late Ralph and Vera (Robinson) Palmer. Thelma is survived by her children, Laura Lee (Lonnie) De Nio, Gayla Burns, Jody (Bryan) Bratsburg, Melodee Carroll, Glen (Dawn) Masterson and Tracy (Ron) Taylor; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Along with her husband Dean, she was also preceded in death by her infant children, Glenadean Kay and Jeffery Lynn. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. from the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel on Saturday, March 2, 2013. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be directed to VNS and Hospice.
