Born with rhythm in his heart, Walter loved to play the drums. An avid bookworm, he was known to read the Chronicle from cover to cover each day, even picking it up at newsstands on the days it wasn't delivered. He was a true blue Detroit Lions fan, cheering them on season after season.
Walter was preceded in death by his daughter Heather, his father Walter, and his sister Angela Parker.
He is survived by his wife Cindy; daughter Amy Parker; grandchildren Derek Barajas (Lindsay Koch), Jessica Christmas, Katelynn Riley; 2 great-grandchildren; mother Virginia Magnuson; siblings Mary jo (Dan Clark) Cindy (John) Johnson, Michael (Char) Parker, Steven (Amy) Parker; nephew Steven Parker; step-children Kyle (Amanda) Barry, Kellie (Kevin) Watring, Karla Barry (Nick Kaufman).
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11:00am at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 3252 Apple Avenue in Muskegon.
