William Gagnon Sr.

GAGNON SR., WILLIAM, Mr. William “Bill” L. Gagnon Sr., age 76 years of Muskegon, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2014. He was born on June 16, 1938 in Muskegon, MI to William J. and Marie O. (Kissling) Gagnon. Bill had worked for Shaw Walker/Knoll in Muskegon for 30 years until his retirement. Prior to that, he worked with his father as a sign painter at West Michigan Advertising. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and Port City RC Radio Airplane Club. Bill loved spending time with his family, building RC airplanes, and oil paintings. On June 20, 1959, he married Lorraine “Lorie” Harju and she survives him along with their four children: Annette (Rick) Jones of Muskegon, Sue (John) Johnson of Holton, Bill (Julie) Gagnon Jr. of Muskegon, Bob &(Kelly) Gagnon of Norton Shores; 8 grandchildren: Bryan Johnson, Nic (Samara) Johnson, Jeremy (Sabrina) Jones, Lisa (Phil) Joslyn, Megan Gagnon, Casey Gagnon, Tyler Gagnon, Nicole Gagnon; three great-grandchildren, Kyna, Ariana, Rylee; and by two sisters, Bonnie (Ed) Workman, Carolyn Shivlie; one brother, Rodger (Mary) Gagnon. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Larry, and by his granddaughter, Ashley Gagnon. A memorial service will take place at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave,. Muskegon). The family will receive visitors two hours prior to the service beginning at 11:00am. Memorial Contributions can be made to Harbor Hospice or Johnson Cancer Center.
