Your Mother is always with you. She’s the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street. She’s the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick and perfume she wore. She’s the cool hand on your brow when you’re not feeling well. She’s your breath in the air on a cold winter’s day, the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of the rainbow. She is Christmas morning. Your Mother lives inside your laughter and she is crystallized in every teardrop. A Mother shows every emotion... happiness, sadness, fear, jealousy, anger, helplessness, excitement, joy, sorrow all the while, hoping and praying that you will only know the good feelings in life. She is the place you came from, your first home and she’s the map you follow with every step you take. She’s your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you... NOT TIME... NOT SPACE... NOT EVEN DEATH... Incredible.
Our beloved Mom, Granny, GG, left us and gained her wings December 23, 2025.
Greeting her with open arms on the other side were her loving husband Carl, son Colin, all her siblings, and all her friends.
Mom will be forever loved and missed by her son Kevin and Lorna Gulewich, daughter Karel and Larry Carter, grandchildren Kyle, Tammy, Adam, Nadine, Jolene and great grandchildren Tylin, Hazel, Willow, Ryleigh, Bode, Tosh.
Bea, or Bede to many, was an avid bowler, excelling at 5 pin and 10 pin throughout her life, and in her senior years could often be found carpet bowling with Bowen Park Seniors where she had a lovely group of friends. She especially loved working in the kitchen at teatime making sure everyone had snacks and goodies with their tea.
Mom also enjoyed spending time with family, dinners out, waterfront walks, car rides, Nanaimo Clipper and Timbermen games, and minor lacrosse games
You are so loved Mom Until we meet again...
