Debbie was born April 26th 1958 in Courtenay/Comox, BC and spent most of her life in the Cowichan Valley before moving to Nanaimo to complete her degree in Social Work and obtain her dream job at the Ministry of Children and Families.
Described by her family, friends, and colleagues as being passionate, practical and calm, Debbie explored a love for genealogy, learning and connecting with people in all areas of her life.
Debbie is predeceased by her mother Marjorie Sharp (nee. Geidt) and father Lawrence Sharp. She is survived by her loving children, Melanie and Brandon,sister Chloe (Peter), brother Dennis, and nephew Colton.
Debbie’s family and friends would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to all of the staff and nurses in the Nanaimo Hospital Palliative Unit for their care and compassion.
