Donovan Daniel Jonathan Kelly

Donovan Daniel Jonathan Kelly, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on December 12, 2023, at the age of 33. He was born on March 20, 1990, in Vernon, BC, Canada, and most recently resided in Nanaimo, BC, Canada.

Donovan had a zest for life and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Fishing, cycling, and engaging in various outdoor activities brought him immense joy. He had a special love for flowers and capturing the beauty of nature through photography.

Beyond his hobbies, Donovan was known for his unwavering dedication to helping others. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, whether it be in churches or within the community. Donovan's compassionate and supportive nature touched the lives of many.

Above all, Donovan cherished his mother, Aileen Kelly, and his extended family and friends. He found solace and happiness in the company of loved ones. Donovan is survived by his parents, Aileen Kelly, Brian Lewis, and Jonathan Brazier, as well as his siblings Barb Awenose, Cody Kelly, and Sydney Brazier.

Donovan had a close bond with his grandparents, Dr. Daniel Kelly and Janet Kelly. He also leaves behind his aunts and uncles, Janet Pearson, Tim Pearson, Jaclyn Riemer, and Don Riemer, as well as numerous beloved cousins.

In his professional life, Donovan found fulfillment in carpentry and landscaping. He took pride in his work and was always ready to lend his talents to any project.

Donovan's impact on the lives of others cannot be overstated. His willingness to support those in need and his active involvement in his church and various charities and missions will be remembered by all who were touched by his kindness. He frequently volunteered his time to landscape, clean up, and plow snow, demonstrating his dedication to making a difference in his community.

Donovan held strong Christian beliefs, finding solace and guidance through his faith.

In addition to their grief, Donovan's family mourns the loss of his brother, Dirk Thomas Kelly, who predeceased him.

Donovan Daniel Jonathan Kelly will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished, and his spirit will continue to inspire acts of kindness and compassion.

A celebration of the lives of Dirk Thomas Kelly and Donovan Daniel Jonathan Kelly will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Head of the Lake Hall, Okanagan Indian Band, Vernon, BC at 11:00 am. The family would like to welcome any and all friends and family who would wish to attend.
