Emily passed away peacefully on February 11th in the Palliative Care Unit at NRGH. She was a daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend, and "special auntie". In her final years she loved her little dog Patronne.
Emily was a highly sensitive, spiritual, kind, and very private person. Like so many others, she had a long-term struggle with the disease of addiction. She loved gardening, jewelry making, camping, hiking, and travel. Recently, several trips to Mexico and to the east coast of Canada with a friend were an immense source of joy for her. She really wanted to do more travel and perhaps make a fresh start in life somewhere new.
Her family wishes to thank the staff at the Intensive and Palliative Care Units at NRGH for the compassionate care they gave Emily during the final five days of her life.
We will love you always Emily.
