It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank. Survived by his wife Darlene, three sons Paul (Jill), Chris, and Anthony (Tara), daughter Sandra, three granddaughters Cara, Caitlin, and Briana, as well as great-grandchildren Bella and Liam. Frank joined the Navy in 1951. He worked for the post office for 35 years before retiring. Frank leaves a deep void in our hearts and lives.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Nanaimo SPCA in his name would be gratefully accepted.

Frank and Julie would come to Nanaimo Post Office when implementing Community mailboxes in 1988. I was hired to help with getting addresses. When Frank started coming by himself, I became his aide. And basically his right arm when implementing the change there in 1989. We went on to put all of the largest rural route office in Canada, Parksville, into CMB system. However, that was his last year, and he could hardly wait to be retired! During this time, he came to our house for dinners; and he taught us how to make a great Caesar salad!
He was funny , (although a bit foul-mouthed) but I enjoyed his friendship. So, for over two years, we were a team. I saw him only briefly after that, although we both lived in town. Ed and I are sorry for the loss of Frank, but I have many fond memories of him.

“Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones you accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile, and who love you no matter what.”

Frank will be missed dearly by our family as he was always part of it. Rest in Peace my dear friend!
