Iris Caroline Susan (nee Croswell) Borisenko

Iris was born in Stockholm Saskatchewan September 2nd, 1930, second of three girls, to Doris (nee Wilds) and Ernie Croswell. The family moved to Calgary when she was 6 years old. Iris met Ed at the youth group at First Baptist church. They married in 1955 and had three children together in Calgary. They moved from Calgary to Nanaimo in 1982, and into Longlake Chateau in 2022, where Ed still lives. Iris became suddenly ill and passed peacefully at Nanaimo Hospital Saturday, Dec 21st at 2:30 pm, with Ed and Laurel by her side. She is survived by her husband Ed; her children, Randy (Cheryl), Kelly (Elle), and Laurel; and her sister Doreen.

A Celebration of Life for Iris will take place Wednesday May 14th, at 1:00pm at First Baptist Church, Nanaimo, 1650 Waddington Rd, Nanaimo. All Welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist church or Mennonite Central Committee (USA and Canada)
