He joined the Canadian Navy in 1948 in Victoria, B.C. He retired in 1973 and moved to Mesachie Lake, then to Lake Cowichan and finally Nanaimo.
Beloved husband of the late Ileen. Loving father of Wayne (Sharon), Ken (Janice), Clint, and Garth (Siobhan). Cherished grandfather of Desmond, Rick, David (deceased), Philip, Clayton, Sheena, Lyndsey, Clint Jr., Andrea, Randy, and Tyler. Great grandfather of 18. Great great grandfather of two. Dear brother of Laura Wall and Clinton Hiles Sr. (deceased).
